Regular readers might remember I attended a sublime concert of jazz music recently at Carnegie Hall featuring Brad Mehldau and Pat Metheny. My review of said concert has just been published on the website of SIMA, the Sydney Improvised Music Association. Back in the day (as the locals are fond of saying), I used to be heavily involved with this organisation, which facilitates performance opportunities for jazz musicians in Sydney and has done so for more than 20 years.
